Too Much, Too Young - Love, Survival and Celebrity

I’ve been having a ball with reading autobiographies! After all, it is the holiday season, isn’t it?

Just finished reading Kerry Katona’s ‘Too Much, Too Young - My Story of Love, Survival and Celebrity', after which I couldn’t help but think – ‘what a life she’s had!’ Unbelievable! But, hands up to her as she has dealt with the most difficult of situations right from childhood and still comes up trumps.

I must say the romantic in me wanted the ‘happy ever after’ ending when she finally got married to Brian Mcfadden of Westlife, and I was rather disappointed that fate reared it’s ugly head to spoil that for her as well. But good old Kerry simply used this experience to learn more about herself and move on with life. Even if only after she almost lost it completely.

I loved reading her story. I was disgusted at what some mothers can put their own children through, honestly. But with compassion we can understand that she had her own issues and really did the best she could with a most ugly situation.

I cannot help but wish the two of them the very best that life has to offer. Fantastic!

The Attractor Factor

Just finished reading A Whole New World in a day and a half, and I am now reading The Attractor Factor: 5 Easy Steps for Creating Wealth (or Anything Else) from the Inside Out by Joe Vitale.

I am a very hands-on chick when it comes to the practical, tangible aspects of wealth creation. Give me a spreadsheet anytime, and I’ll populate it with figures and even colours! Tell me to say affirmations daily, and I forget within a day!

However, I truly believe in the Law of Attraction. I believe that the metaphysical stuff is very powerful, and when used together  with the practical, you get a magnetically dynamic mix.

So, I intend reading this book twice and making the time to put everything into practice. I suppose I cannot say much more than this, except I hope to blog about it soon.

Going After What You Want

I am only 66 pages into Katie Price’s 272-page ‘A Whole New World’ and there’s one thing that keeps speaking to me. Her undying determination and persistence at going after what she wants, regardless of what is at stake. Talk about steadfast doggedness.

In contrast, most people are conditioned to wait for things to come to them. Most people desire money, wealth and prosperity, but are waiting to receive it. Or, they will take one step forward and wait to be met halfway. One thing I have learnt in life is ‘If you want something in life, you’ve got to ACT to start the process of achievement’. Katie Price does not stop acting until she has achieved her goal.

Considering what a book lover I am, I have decided to add a new category, ‘What Am I Reading’ to blog about.

So, what am I reading?

Just started reading ‘Jordan – A Whole New World’ by Katie Price. As part of the back-to-school shopping last weekend, I walked into WH Smith bookstore with my oldest daughter looking for the eleventh edition of The Concise Oxford English dictionary. I was immediately drawn to the autobiography section, where I spent more time browsing.
